Hi, I am the Workspace Owner (Full Admin) experiencing a permissions issue on one of my site/projects. Today I shared a preview link allowing comments to everyone with the link. After this my project permissions changed to view/comment only and webflow does not recognize me as the admin so it does not allow me do anything on this site, commend mode only. I need to restore my admin access for the project/site. Note that I am the Workspace Owner (Full Admin) and do not want to add any new members nor upgrade the plan. I just want to be again the admin of my site and open it in Designer.–
Make sure you’re not trying to access your site through the preview link. You’ll see “preview” in the URL at the top.
Generating a preview link should have no impact on your ( or anyone’s ) permissions.
Thank you for your replay. No I am sure I do not do that. In fact, the settingsof the page are changed - no longer see myself as admin. I tried multiple times login and out, and it did not help.
The problem is that on my project/site settings I am no longer Admin - and this setting I did not even touched, Webflow has a bug that kicked you out of your project and appartently there is nothing I can do about it and only Webflow support team can give the access to Admin mode back. Any ideas? This is super urgent as I have no access to my site, I can only comment
, wt..
I am experiencing the exact same issue. My account is owner of the site and whole workspace; on attempting to generate a preview link, my permissions have been changed to “reviewer”, and I cannot edit the site, publish, enter the editor at all, nor change the permissions as this is an enterprise feature. I also have time-sensitive updates that need to happen.
Have you contacted support?
I have contacted support last night and have been waiting since then. I hope it will not take weeks.. is there any way one can contact support team directly without the ticket and waiting hours, no special emeregancy hot-line?
Enterprise customers have a phone support option, but to my knowledge that’s the only approach. I’ve dropped a message to support to alert them in case there are no open tickets yet.
Sorry to hear that, it seems like one big fat bug webflow must take care of
We’re having the same issue. Frustrating. Posting to share.
Same issue here…I shared my website for a preview/comment link. Then I decided since I really need to make some edits, to upgrade my plan. But still….not access…….not good
Yes, I’ve let support know the issue with as much detail as I could muster! Hopefully they can fix it up soon. ![]()
I have the same issue.
Hi all,
Thank you for the reports. This was a known issue, and the team involved have pushed out a fix that prevents you from getting stuck in Comment mode. You will however need to contact support to get your role adjusted, if you haven’t done so already.
Thank’s @memetican for reporting internally too! ![]()
Support Team has the problem resolved! Thanks Webflow!
I am having the same issue after creating a preview link. My settings themselves have changed and I cannot changed them back myself. I am confirming that the problem isn’t just with the preview link.
How did they resolve this. I am having the issue now myself.
I’m having the same issue. How long did it take for support to resolve? I don’t have access to phone number with my plan, and I’ve already been waiting hours for a reply to the email support.
