Everybody has to start somewhere. Now this isn’t always easy, as you might want to build a small portfolio. Luckily, @Webflow allows you (also under the free plan) to experiment with building websites. If you set them to public, they’ll turn up on your profile page. So you have a free portfolio website where you can publish your work and refer clients to. Mine only has basic tinkering, as I get my clients in a different way. But @Arthur, he’s got something to show for.
In my opinion; if you have something like a portfolio, you never have to work for free. What’s your opinion?
