Should I check all kinds of web browser to check responsiveness?

As the title above is, Should I check all kinds of web browsers to check responsiveness as in Safari, Chrome, and Firefox???

I appreciate your help in advance!

Here is my site Read-Only: LINK
(how to share your site Read-Only link)

I would consider that a requirement for people building for paying clients. I limit my scope to A grade browsers on desktops and mobile devices unless otherwise specified. How far back you go when testing mobile should be defined in the requirements or specs.

Hey webdev! Thank you for your prompt reply!

I have a couple of question following your message.

  1. It depends on how much they pay for the project? If they pay for basic one which doesn’t include checking the responsiveness on various kinds of web browsers??

  2. What do you mean by A grade browsers? as in mostly being used?? like chrome or safari??

  3. and… what do you mean by this…? I am not crystal clear actually… :sob: How far back you go when testing mobile should be defined in the requirements or specs.

  4. and it’s not the project for clients, but for my portfolio work… then the answer might be changed …?

For your own site, you’re your own client, so it’s up to you how much QA work you want to do.

Different browsers still have different capabilities and behaviors, so ensuring your site works OK across the most popular browsers is useful.

Here are global stats, but if you were targeting a specific region of the world, you’d want to check what browsers are popular there ( QQ in China, etc. ). Jeff also pointed out that people do not update phones consistently, so there are a lot of different versions of different browsers in the wild.

Take a look at these reports to understand more.

Hey, Michael

I appreciate your help

Hope you have a great day!!
