Shadowing working strangely with custom code?

Hi all

I am trying to get the fill of the text to be a picture, which i have done with custom code but unfortunately when i then go and add a shadow, the shadow appears on top of the text?? really confused about this one.

You basically need two elements to achieve this effect, since the bg image is behind the shadow. Using an embed might be the most effective way of doing this in Webflow, not sure you can drop a div in an H1.
