"Save for later" functionality for CMS (using MemberStack)

This client wants a “save for later” functionality for events, so users can essentially bookmark pages within the site and view what they’ve saved in a user-specific page (via MemberStack). I’ve done a lot of research and can’t seem to find any information on how to code something like this… Does anyone have any experience? I was thinking maybe I could have a plus/minus button on each element that would add a class or something when clicked, then I could filter by that class on the results page… But not sure if that would work since it would have to be a persistent save (even when user leaves current page etc).

Thanks!!

@asksj

Hi. Worth asking Memberstack / @DuncanHamra about this also - I think at one time they were working on offering something like this.

I remember a ‘Member Bucket’ for saving items mentioned on their Slack channel in the past. https://memberstackcommunity.slack.com/

Hi @Emmanuel_Kaska! Are you still looking for a solution?

Hi @DuncanHamra is there a text/video tutorial that we can learn from?

Hello! There is actually. I’ll DM you with more info.

Hi Duncan! I am still looking for a solution. Could you DM me with info? Basically looking for a “starred” option for content on a page (like something you’d see on pinterest. Any help is SO appreciated.

I finally made the project cloneable! Like, save, favorite, bookmark, etc. - Webflow

Here’s a high-level overview that explains what’s going on. If you need help, please post in this thread or start a new one in the MemberStack forum.

Hello Duncan,

will this work in memberstack 2.0?

I am trying to implement this on my page so the user could save job posts. I did everything according to your video but it is not working. Could you please help me out? @DuncanHamra

The code is currently set on Job posts page - My saved jobs page and Job post template page.

Hey Jure

I’m afraid the code from this project is 1.0 only.

We’ve been recommending Jetboost for 2.0. https://docs.memberstack.com/hc/en-us/articles/7782858689179-Favoriting-bookmarking-saving-Webflow-CMS-Items-

When I get some time, I’ll see about replicating the project you shared for 2.0.

Thanks for the answer man! Will check out jetboost and Refokus filters.
