Hey Webflow,
I have a portfolio template with a CMS rich text field for the overview of each project. The rich text element is using a serif font (Manrope) but the typography setting is set to Barlow. However, when you view the site in a browser, it shows as a serif font (Manrope). Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
Thanks.

Hi there,
To apply custom typography styles (like Barlow) to a CMS rich text element, you’ll need to temporarily unbind it from the CMS field. Here’s how:
- Go to the Element settings panel
- Under Content, find the connected field (marked with a purple dot)
- Click the purple dot and select “Disconnect property”
- Apply your desired Barlow typography settings to the rich text element
- Reconnect the element to your CMS field using the same Content settings
