hello…I recently noticed that when I publish a new article on my Webflow site, and press ‘publish to selected domain’, entire website republished, and all the published dates for my existing blog articles change to the time I republished the site. Is there a setting I might be missing, or is this expected behavior? How can I prevent this from happening?..i am sure, this is bad for the SEO…please guide me… or should i just publish article one the same place within CMS ?.. i am afraid , i was making mistake since months, as my Dev. said me to save article after writing, and then press ‘publish to selected domain’… apology to Google console
It’s by design.
thanks Micheal…I want to know if editing the website, blogs, or job posts and then clicking “Publish to selected domain” (as shown in the attached) will hurt SEO, since this option seems to republish the entire website each time. Should I be using this option, or is it better to publish changes directly from within the CMS collection page, e.g inside blog post, because there is also a publish option?(attached)
There’s no difference to SEO, the page is the same, and so is the sitemap.
Publishing individual entries is primarily a convenience and it’s primarily used in the API, the content editor, and for scheduled post publishing.
