I recently tried adding some code to the header of my home page but later realised I didn’t need it, so I removed it. However, now that same line of code appears in my home page’s meta description despite multiple attempts to save the actual meta description and remove this line of code. Would anyone be able to help me with this? I have attached screenshots below. Thank you!
The snippet in the SERPS is generated by them. When your page is crawled again it may disappear as the index may be updated. All you can do it update it in your project and publish. The rest is up to them.
The line of code only appears in the cached version of the website and the meta description. I’m wondering if there is something I can do to clear the cache to remove it?
Cache? The published site does not have the old meta-description. You cannot force an update on a Search Engine. They are busy processing billions of pages. When they get to yours is unknown. Busy sites are recrawled faster. If you need help with Google search consider using Google’s search console.
