Removed category items in dynamic list doesn't show published

On my photo gallery I removed 2 category items from the collection categories a few hours ago. They were empty, no photos related.
It showed immediately good on my project and in the editor, but on published it still doesn’t show yet…

We rebuild the page, because we suspected the file of the page was corrupt, because it refused to publish a change after safe. Now it works fine again.
