Random URLs in Google Analytics

Here is my site Read-Only: LINK
Google Analytics is showing that 4 of my top 6 pages are random URLs that load a 404. Can anyone advise how these links are getting generated and how I can avoid them? They are not coming from the sitemap.

Hi there,

Random URLs can sometimes appear in search engines if they’re linked somewhere on your site or were previously published. Here’s how you can address this:

You can use Google’s removals tool to remove specific pages from search results: Removals and SafeSearch reports Tool - Search Console Help

For pages that were moved or deleted, setting up 301 redirects will help prevent visitors from landing on your 404 page. Additionally, you can customize your 404 page under the Utility Pages section to provide better navigation options for users who encounter broken links.

Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.

Make sure you haven’t accidentally added you GA4 tracker to a different site.

Outside of that, someone’s likely uses your domain with links that are no longer relevant. If the domain had a previous owner, those are just old backlinks.

Redirect them to home, or something for a better human experience.

If you also see this links in Google you can disavow them through GSC
