Portfolio Hover Animation

Hello, i would like to recreate this hover effect for a portfolio page: Pinterest – Lekker

I created a collection list with the image, title & category but I don’t know how to create the hover effect with the text reveal and the image scaling.

So far I tried a transform scaling for the image on hover but it’s not really smooth.
Also I tried to position the text beside the image but it is not really working.

Not sure about the text effect, but you could try something like this for smoothing the image transformation:
