I’m trying to understand something on Page Speed Insights to hopefully get a better mobile score, particularly for “Avoiding Large Layout shifts.”
I see that many of my images say “Media element lacking an explicit size”. When I’ve searched this, it seems the issue may be that these images use relative units for both the image and the image container. However, changing it to absolute measurements would surely compromise the responsiveness.
Has anyone run into this? What are potential solutions or work-arounds for this?
Also, I’m not even fully convinced how much improving it will move the needle on Page Speed Insights, and SEO in general. I’m fresh off of an SEO Masterclass, and I’m trying to delve into this.
