I need to do a strange grid (not sure I should use a grid), where there’s a picture overlapping two sections.

If you position the image on the bottom right so that the top of the image aligns with the top of the bottom left text then you can use a negative margin top value to move the image up. i.e. set a top margin of -50px. Keeping it simple
