Overflow and horizontal scrollbar problem

Hello there! I am working on a website with another developer. However, we ran into an issue with overflowing and a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the page. The webpage is great, but it overflows too much to the right.

Solutions we tried:

  • Removing the background SVG image
  • Adding
    body {
    overflow-x: hidden;
    }
    -Setting our sections to auto margins.

Contd.
Nothing we implement seems to solve it. Is there a solution out there that will fix our situation? Please help us out at your earliest convenience! Thanks.

Update: We set overflow to hidden for the body. Doing so removed the y-axis scroll bar oddly enough, so we set our body back to visible for overflow.

The way we find this is to start deleting content and check each time until the element causing the issue is deleted and thus the problem is gone. Refresh to the last delete and fix that element.

Back in the coding days we would comment out lines or portions thereof until we found the cause of an issue.:face_with_monocle:

Thanks for the reply, Jim!

We fixed it by changing the margin all around for the “What Our Clients Say” header to Auto, and then adding the appropriate padding will fix it. As well as aligning the text as center. Who knew that one header could cause such a headache haha. The horizontal scroll bar is still there, but the overflow is not, thankfully!
