Ordered list, decimal - with dynamic contents

Hello,
Hope someone can help. I would like to create an ordered list with dynamic contents. The content of the ordered list is generated from a multireference CMS field inside a dynamic page.
My solution results in showing “1” to all CMS items. It doesn’t have consecutive numbering as expected.

I placed a list element inside the CMS collection item and set the list element to “numerical (icon with ordered numbers)” and “ordered” in the style and element settings, respectively.

Could someone advise? Thank you in advance.

The best way to do this would be to use CSS counters in some custom CSS.
