Not able to edit certain picture in build mode

HI,
My client would like to edit the main header images on his site. He has builder access. The problem is he is only able to edit the image here A3.

Is there a way to structure the images so he can edit all4 off them in build mode.

If this is not possible maybe there is a way to make the images come from a cms collection. One that he can edit. so he does not need to access them form build mode.

Thanks in advance. Have a lovely day.

Hi there,

Build mode provides your client with limited editing capabilities, primarily focused on managing content rather than design. To give your client the ability to edit images, the best approach is to use the CMS panel. Here’s how you can set this up:

The CMS panel allows clients to manage Collection items and site assets without affecting the site’s structure or design. They can upload new images, replace existing ones, and update content within the established design framework. This maintains site consistency while giving clients the flexibility to keep their content fresh and up-to-date.

For dynamic image management, create a Collection with an Image field type. This allows your client to easily update images through the CMS panel without needing access to the Designer. They can also manage site assets directly through the Assets panel in build mode.

Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.

Two main approaches;

  • Use components for each image, with a property for the image content. This will make the images selectable in the left nav, and then the image can be set in the component properties.
  • Use the CMS and redesign this section as a collection list.

Hi,

Thanks so mutch for the repsons. The components option helped perfectly.

Thanks so mutch for your help!
