Nested Symbols and Multi-Language \\ is this possible?

Our nav bar is one symbol, with a child element that gives the date of the latest drop.

English Pages
Page A: [Nav Symbol] + date in English
Page B: [Nav Symbol] + date in English
Page C: [Nav Symbol] + date in English
Page D: [Nav Symbol] + date in English
Page E: [Nav Symbol] + date in English

French Pages
Page E: [Nav Symbol] + date in French
Page F: [Nav Symbol] + date in French
Page G: [Nav Symbol] + date in French
Page H: [Nav Symbol] + date in French
Page I: [Nav Symbol] + date in French

The date child element has a symbol override. Any time this date changes, I need go page-by-page and change the date’s symbol override: one date change means editing 40 pages, for each French page and each English page.

Can nested symbols help me here? It looks like I can nest a “French Date” Symbol into the Nav Symbol, but how do I keep that nested symbol only on French pages? That way, I could edit just the “French Date” symbol once and it’ll apply to all French pages.

But this is still impossible, right? One Nav Symbol will show all nested symbols; nested symbols don’t have display:none overrides, etc.
