Nested Blog Entrance Page

Hi All,

I am trying to create a entrance page for my blog post with the link website.com/blog that lists all my individual posts. Since I created a cms page called ‘blogs’ webflow is saying I can’t create that entrance page because the url is being used. It should be website.com/blog/blog-post. Anyone know how to do this without creating a different url for the entrance page?

Current entrance page is website.com/resources/blog-post. Would like to change /resources to /blog.

Hi Terrance, want to share your project readonly link so we can have a look?
You shouldn’t have any issues with having a static page and a CMS collection that both have the slug blog.

I haven’t tested that recently, but it certainly works with static pages and folders.

Ah yea… there’s a trick to it :smile:

You have to create the static page FIRST. Then create your collection slug with the same name. That get’s you past that validation error and allows you to successfully do it.

Here’s an example:

I took this approach for the example above.

Here’s the project share link to see it in action. If you already have a collection with the name you want, you’ll have to do a little renaming dance, but it won’t be bad :smirk:
