So I’m a bit rusty with interactions and was attempting a hover-over image behind navigation text. It seems to work in the preview mode but not on the live/published site. I assume that it may be something finicky with the z-index, but all help is welcome and greatly appreciated!

Would you be able to try setting a height (ex. 16px) to your image within the ‘Nav Link Hover’ div?:
