Navbar dropdown hover/click action

Hi. Just wondering how other people are dealing with this issue.

Here’s a project I’m working on http://eav-solutions.webflow.io/

The dropdown menu items in the main navigation are Hover activated, but the Dropdown toggle is also a link, clicking it does what you expect. This is fine for desktop but becomes a problem on mobile devices. Clicking on it on a tablet (no hover in mobile devices) activates the Dropdown toggle link and one is taken to the top link, no time to use the dropdown items.

It would be great to be able to change the toggle action from hover to click for each Webflow breakpoint. is this possible? Doesn’t look like it from my testing.

How do you get around this?

Grant

Hi @grantsenior

You can duplicate your dropdown menu and make a desktop only version and a mobile only version. Then you can display them on appropriate breakpoints.

Hope this helps!

Hi Donald,

Yes, thanks. That’s what I’ll be doing.
Cheers!
