Mobile site nav messing with my link blocks

Hi!

I’m new to webflow and having some issues with my portfolio site design.

My desktop site is working fine, but i’m encountering some issues with the mobile version where the mobile navigation is sitting under my website content - if i change the z-index to bring it to the top, my link blocks stop working, but if i have the link blocks set to a higher z-index than the nav, the nav doesn’t cover them when it’s expanded.

Because the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over expecting a different result, i was hoping a webflow expert could help me figure out a solution.

This is what is currently happening…

…and this is what it should look like, but with all of the link blocks working

Make sure to set the “NAVBAR” layer to:

  1. Fixed
  2. Cover Full
  3. Z-index: highest, 99999 or something

If you want the whole menu to cover the entire screen, with link blocks still working. I think you may have been setting positioning on ‘Nav Div’, instead of “Navbar”.

Thanks for replying @garymichael1313

I’ve given this a go as you’ve suggested and it still seems to be not playing nice with my link blocks - i know it’s probably something very simple that i’m just no seeing… but i just can’t seem to figure it out…

Did you publish it again? I can take a look if you’re in your site now??

Hi @garymichael1313,

I wasn’t able to figure out why it wasn’t working for me, so ended up tweaking the design a little in the short term, with a view to add the nav at the top back in at a later date when i add more content.
In the meantime it can be a one page site - having a seperate work page was probably a little redundant anyway.

Thanks for your suggestion though, i might try it again on another site and see if i have the same problem.

i am having the exact same issue as @MissGilly. The nav meny on mobile prevents the links blocks from working. Even when closed, the links dont work.

@garymichael1313 i followed your steps and it actually made the nav menu open below the section, and the links still not clickable

So you’re nav is that dropdown with the scrollbars, right?

I clicked the hamburger menu on mobile view and clicked the menu, it worked? What exactly is the issue.

I fixed it shortly after posting. I don’t recall exactly what the issue was but I think it had to do with a block’s height
