When troubleshooting responsive design in Webflow, here’s what you need to know:
The Style panel shows how styles are inherited across breakpoints through color-coded labels - blue indicates styles from the current breakpoint, while orange shows inherited styles from larger breakpoints. To make adjustments:
- Select the appropriate breakpoint using the device icons in the top navigation
- Click and drag the canvas edge to preview different viewport widths
- Check the Style panel to identify which styles are inherited
- Add new styles at your current breakpoint to override any inherited properties
Remember that styles cascade down to smaller breakpoints unless specifically overridden. This means styles set on the Desktop breakpoint will affect all smaller breakpoints until you create a new style rule.
