I am re-building a site, and will be duplicating the old site to work on this. However I need to merge a SECOND live site, into the old one - as two were created for two separate offerings, but they now need to be merged into the ONE site.
Is it possible to merge a CMS blog collection into the new re-build, adding them to the current blog collections - but keeping the old post dates, so they dont show up as published on the same day?
Before you do that, I’d fix your blog dates so that they are user fields.
Create your own date field, then export your blog as CSV and re-import it to populate only that new date field from e.g. the system “created date” field. Then update your CMS bindings to use that field.
You’ll likely need to do that to both sites.
Once you have the date as a user field that you can control [ not a system field ] the data will be manageable and you can merge your blogs more easily.
