Make image in a div within a collection fit- contain doesn't seem to work

Hello. I have a blog with cms and want the blog at the top to be half image, half content and link (see the blog page on the site). I can’t seem to get the image to fit or at least fill properly on the tablet and phone layouts. It’s like it’s filled to the size of the image so it looks like nothing. I want the image to fit better so you can see what it is. I hope this makes sense…

Hi, I think you’re going to have to create an image of your desired final layout. I can see the image properly in all views.

Thank you. I’ve been plugging away at it and think I figured out a solution. Not exactly what I was trying to do, but I like it, it works.
