MailChimp signup form integration

Hi @Robinho put into action field only that part

http://dicoso.us12.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=6f42cdd259a04a213f56df39a&id=d7cdf1ab43

I hope it helps !

Thank you for the response! There is a little ‘improvement’, since the action box isn’t red anymore

…but on MailChimp, there is no new subscriber in the list after subscribing on my test-website?

Could you share your published website ? Thanks.

Either you can try put to action field this:

//dicoso.us12.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=6f42cdd259a04a213f56df39a&id=d7cdf1ab43

sure! http://newsletter-test-submission.webflow.io/

Heya @cyberdave we’ve just tried this, and nothing we’ve tried has worked :frowning: We’ve done it a few times in the past without a hitch, but for some reason, we’re having issues now :frowning:

Here’s the page: Innovation Consulting and Training | Collective Campus

You just need to click the “register your interest” button to activate the form popup.

Here’s the read-only link: https://preview.webflow.com/preview/collective-campus1?preview=9bf216965f56b6f5652875bbbae15e73

The page can be found here: Pages > Landings Page (In collection template pages), second from the bottom

Then you will see a form overlay…

Our MailChimp code is: http://collectivecamp.us7.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=c675fe6ab1a62dc586da0b61d&id=9f3566d16b

Thanks for the help!

@johnnymitch I’m using this on at least one site and don’t have the http: in front of the //sitename … might see if that fixes.

@johnnymitch Did you get this resolved?

Is there any ability to capture country codes yet? Anybody try that? Thanks you!!

In my case, I only have an email field. I tried the integration with both the custom code and without, it works in both cases. It doesn’t look like Mailchimp requires name as a mandatory field.

Hi Lucaben,

I’m looking for a email only field as well. However, it does not seem to work on my end (following all of the above steps). Any chance you can describe what you did?

Best,

Hi Eddywi, apologies for the delayed response. I hope you solved your problem meanwhile. It’s been long ago when I setup my form, and honestly I don’t remember, but I am pretty sure all I had to od was follow the steps highlighted in the first post above.

Cheers

Hi Lucaben,

thanks for the honest answer:) I gave up and just use Webflow sign up function since its simpler and does not require a double opt-in.

I had some problems with mailchimp. The problem from my end was that my client went in and added address and names field to the mailchimp form and set them to mandatory. But if you only have a email field it should work fine.

Not sure if that was your problem, but that was my latest problem

One thing that wasn’t quite explicit for me, you have to name your input settings exactly as MailChimp expects them.

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email

It was working but not bringing in the last name because I’d named it Lastname.

Measure twice, cut once.

Hi all,

I’m having a similar problem that a few of you mentioned. It looks like it is working but no emails are showing up in my Mailchimp list.

Any thoughts?

The button is at the bottom of the three Post pages.

Thank you!

Thanks for this guide @danro. Does mailchimp still only accept First, Last, and Email fields? Or has this changed since 3 years ago?

its a no go for this one…

@jawtab why is this a no go? I just added this to a clients site and it works perfectly.

looks like it’s not working for everyone for some reason. Myself included. I am using Zapier instead.

How many fields are you using? Did you set the method to “POST” and if using https change the url accordingly? If you are using the email confirmation via MailChimp the confirmation must be completed before the names will show up in the list.

Zapier works too though.
