I cannot link the “work” in my global nav to a section on my homepage. I don’t get the Navlink section as I saw in numerous tutorials. Most videos show different Navlink settings. I seem to get a different panel. What should i do?

Always share you read only link if you really want help. Without being able to see your code and element setup, not much we can do.
Linking section is pretty easy. Give your section an ID, and you should see it in the list when you try to link to a section.
Also, I’d click “Hide this” just in case that notification panel is covering the section list.
