Laptop & Phone Layout | Hovering & Margin Problem

Hey everyone,

I’m currently on the last error-fixing on our website and I’m not lying when I tell you that I am struggling.

So I can like choose if the laptop should work or the handy one, but they are somehow linked to eachother and I can’t unlink them.

Right now I chose the laptop one so the error in the handy one looks like this; when I’m hovering over the white marked bar the 4 subpoint dissapear, when I’m not on it they are there. The red arrow should indicate my cursor.

Now what’s strange, when I change following thing on the laptop format, the handy one works:

So when I change this Dropdown list to margin; 20. The handy layout works. Obviously the laptop one not anymore.

///

Whats super strange though is that the “services” works on both and got the same settings.

The final layout should be / goal:

  1. Laptop Layout: That I can hover over about us and it shows the box (like “services”)
  2. Handy Layout: That if you press “About Us” the box appears as it should

Here is my site Read-Only: Webflow - GR Operations

Thank you for the help, I appreciate that!
If you got any questions you need an answer to, to help me, feel free to write them

Hi @Joshua24 not sure that correct understand your problem, but if you want fix the issue with the disappeared «About Us» text — just set 20px instead -180:

Hey @bro-design, thanks for your answer.
Firstly it’s the mobile design, not ipad one (layout).
Yeah if i do this the mobile one works but the laptop one is then at another place. And I can’t “unlink” them.

Thank you so much, it worked!!

One more question @bro-design, do you also already ran over this issue, as I see your a professional in Webflow, maybe you know this:

I don’t want to like works on these errors for weeks, if it’s an easy fix, I’ll do it but if not I don’t do it now. I mean the website works well and clean

Frankly, I very rarely increase these stats, and on average my websites have the values similar to yours😁

But what I noticed, and what can improve the stats a little is to refuse to connect Google fonts through the Webflow interface. Watch this video:

Alright, thanks. I’ll have a look at it :+1:

I watched it a few minutes ago. So, I got 1 google font, how can I like exchange it the easiest so not the whole website changes. I just want to like switch to same font but not from google itself. In the end the website should look the same as it is looking now.

#1 Download from Google your font
#2 In Project Settings upload all font weight which you use
#3 Remove Google fonts (which connected before)
#4 In Designer Mode choose your Body and change the font:

I’m not sure if I’m understanding this correctly…, would you mind doing a short video again?

  • what exact order & how
  • do I have to select every body single from each layout
  • other important stuff like does it affect only big titles, small, etc.

Thanks so much, it worked, your amazing Dmitrii!

Also go ta fix for this? - google search console…

Sorry don’t know how fix your Google Search Console, but, about custom font, please watch care this video from 2:23.

It looks that you still have the Google Font on one element, I know where, but try find it yourself😁

giphy

Watched it twice. I don’t have any Google fonts here though?

Watch video again and more carefully😌

Hint:

Yeah just saw it, thank you.

I added them here and they don’t show in the site to switch.
Any ideas on that?

I also tried refreshing/publishing.

I removed it but it’s still in inspect wf-lato.
In Webflow there’s no Lato anymore though.

Try to clean your styles:

It’s looks that on Dropdown Nav Link you have “unset” font and for this reason Google Fonts is still in your project:

How can I select it, I can’t find it. And when I tried something it just stayed the same :/
