Can anyone help please. We are struggling to create a dynamic filter. Nothing is working.
We have a CMS with coaches. In the “Coaches” CMS each coach is assigned:
- 3-10 specialties (derived from CMS called “Specialties”)
- one or more languages (derived from CMS called “Languages”)
- focus on client type 1 or client type 2 or both. (derived from CMS called “Client Type”)
How can we create a filter that allows a user to make the following selections:
Scenario 1: User wants to see all coaches that meet the all of the following:
- Speciality A and D. (multi selector(checkboxes). )
- Speaks language A and C
- Is focusing in Client type 2
Scenario 2: User wants to see all coaches that meet the all of the following:
- Speciality A, D or Z. (multi selector(checkboxes). show coaches that meet either of the speciality)
- Speaks language A and C
- Is focusing in Client type 2 AND client type 2
The results should show results that meet ALL of the conditions in the Scenarios. What CMS structure is needed for these type of filtering needs.
Here is a link to the directory: Golden Parent: Global Parenting Coach Directory Due to issues with setting up the filter we needed to strip the filter. Even with the current options it’s not working properly. The filtering by specialities works but only as an OR, meaning it shows coaches that meet either of the selections not AND (show coaches that match all of the speciality selections). The Parent Focus selections do not produce correct results.
I have to say I am shocked that it’s such a pain to create a filter in Webflow whereas many platforms have it out of the box. Especially with Webflow now offering eCommerce functionality yet lacking typical filtering functionally for shops such as Shopify. In the forum I see so many people struggle with similar needs and no one has a solution.
We tried Refocus and Finsweet. None worked to create such results.
