Issues Adjusting Links as a Marketer

For my site: https://www.bipbapbop.com/ I work with an illustrator who I have assigned the ‘Marketer’ role. My understanding is that marketers should be able to adjust images and links on the site, however the solution to adjust links appears to be partially implemented.

If you click on a button as a Marketer in Build mode then you’re able to adjust the link (see Button Links image).

But when images are nested inside a link block there doesn’t appear to be any way for a Marketer in Build mode to navigate to the link block and adjust the link (see Image Links).

Is anyone else experiencing this? Has anyone found any work arounds?

Have you tried components?

Tbh I haven’t used Build mode extensively, or the Marketer role, so I don’t know their role limitations thoroughly.

Thanks Michael,

I got another somewhat simpler recommendation from the webflow customer support team, which I’ll post here just in case it helps other people.

"Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this limitation of build mode with the marketer role.

I’ll be sure to pass your feedback along to the relevant teams.

I’ve recorded a loom demonstrating a workaround for you in the meantime: Workaround for not being able to select link block while in build / edit mode.

In summary, by adding some padding the link block, you’re able to configure the link block independently from the nested images.

Another option could be to use components and component properties instead, although that would be a significant lift, as every modifiable element within a component will need to be a property before it can be edited in Build / Edit mode."
