Issue with Card Width Changing Based on Text Length

Hi Webflow Community,

I’m working on a project where I’ve created “cards” containing quotes using div blocks and text blocks. However, I’ve encountered an issue: whenever a quote is on a single row, the width of the card decreases. Once the quote spans over two rows, the width of the card becomes consistent for all rows.

I would like to maintain a consistent card width regardless of whether the quote is one row or more, ensuring the card width doesn’t change based on the text length.

Has anyone encountered this issue or have suggestions on how to prevent the card width from changing when the text is only one row? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Anna,

Your construction looks a little bit over-complicated with the item-wrapping grid, but it depends on how your modal is setup.

To fix the card itself you can give both fs_modal-1_component 2 and fs_modal-1_button 2 widths of 100%.

Thank you so much, that solved it! It probably is way too over-complicated. I’m very new to webflow. I used Finsweet modal pop-up component. Do you have any suggestions to de-complicate it a bit haha?
