Is there a way to create a dynamic image gallery/photography portfolio?

Greetings! I am in the beginning stages of building out a new portfolio site. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find any resources on what I am hoping to achieve. Does anyone know how to create effects and layouts similar to these?

I really like how these image gallery thumbnails load and float around the page:

I would like to mimic this style of click through if possible:

There is an interesting recreation of Apples International Women’s Day Site in the webflow showcase which is offering a similar layout. Might be interesting for your needs (it’s cloneable too!):

I’m making slow progress on the thumbnail layout, but none on the image gallery. I’m having trouble with the title on hover that follows the mouse.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to construct a gallery like that second link?
