My company website ecsrefining.com is coming up scrambled on certain pages when using Internet explorer. I have to get this fixed asap. No idea what’s causing this.
Here are some screenshots-
Not ideal but a workaround that I often use is to target IE browsers.
In the custom code section of your project settings, after the <head>
tag, manually style your uncooperative elements within these tags:
<!--[if IE]>
<style type="text/css">
</style>
<![endif]-->
Let me know if you need more explanation. IE is so frustrating sometimes!
Should have mentioned-- you can also target specific versions of IE. For example, replacing <!--[if IE]>
with <!--[if IE 7]>
will target IE7, and <!--[if lte IE 8]>
will target IE8 and lower. There are other more variations, but you get the idea.
@Tarahjc a quick fix for this is to give your text elements a width or max-width of 100% to make sure they don’t break out of their parent container with those flexbox styles. IE likes to have widths on elements, even just percentage widths helps a ton. Hope that this is helpful
