Interactions behind Blocks/Texts

Hey guys,

I’m new in the gang and having lots of fun. Most of my problems I could just google or found the solution this forum. This time I’m a little lost.

Problem:
I want to have an interaction behind a block or text field. I made a quick sketch to showcase what I mean:

As you can see, there is a huge link block in the background. When you hover over the text you can’t click on it. But that’s exactly what I want. I want clicks to pass through boxes or texts. Is that possible?

Thanks for helping!

Hi @SuperGlue,

You need to make the parent div or the box holding the text a “link block”.

Hey @garymichael1313,

Thanks for the reply!

That would solve the link-problem. Still I would like to know if there is any way to let clicks pass through blocks.

I’m planning to have an interactive background via script. A text above it would block the incoming interactions on that specific space (e.g. colors + lights appear). That’s why I’m trying to figure this problem.

Yeah no, you’ll set the interaction on the link block. Link blocks natively allow you to click without touching the text. You can effect the entire block while keeping text in place.
