Integrating Webflow with Zapier

Hey Fellow Webflow Designers, A Warning About Zapier

I wanted to share a frustrating experience I recently had with Zapier to warn other designers who rely on low-code platforms for their projects.

I was exploring Zapier Interfaces as a potential solution to create a client portal and project management system for my business along with integrating my 3rd party apps with my webflow site. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that Zapier’s platform isn’t as transparent as it should be.

Here’s what happened:

  • No Trial Available: I had to pay upfront to even test their premium features.
  • Key Features Hidden Behind a Paywall: After paying, I discovered that the functionality I needed, allowing clients to log in and only see their specific projects, requires an additional $100/month subscription.
  • No Refund Policy: When I realized Zapier wasn’t going to work for me within hours of purchasing, they refused to refund my payment, citing a “firm no-refund” policy in their Terms of Service.

As designers, we work hard to find solutions that meet client needs. Platforms like Webflow have set the standard for transparency and usability, but experiences like this remind me that not all low-code tools are created equal.

My advice to anyone considering Zapier:

  • Be cautious of their pricing structure and refund policy.
  • If a tool doesn’t offer a trial or clear pricing upfront, think twice before committing.

I hope this helps others avoid the same mistake.
