Integrating help desk software

I’m tyring to integrate help desk software into a site so that messages from the site’s contact form will auto-create a ticket on the help desk (currently looking at or happyfox).

Just wondering if anyone has integrated help desk software into contact forms across their sites? I’m trying to figure out if I can use the API to tack onto the form fields or if I’ll need to embed a form via the email widget.

If you’re using different software to solve this use case I’d love to hear what you’re using and how.
