The code based on jquery so you should put the code before body (After jquery loaded)(Not as copy-paste embed code).

Anyway if you do not know JavaScript try to work first with more simple examples (“hello world”). This code example is very veryyyyyyyy complex for JS newbies + Not so useful to put elements as embed HTML.
