Image resolution when scaling?

Hey!

This might be a really basic question but it got me a bit confused. I am about to create different resolution images for my site. One for the header (1920, one for thumbnail (320) and one for the articles (1080).

I have set the thumbnail-div to be 320 px wide, but on my laptop screen (using Windows 10) everything is zoomed in by 150% to not make stuff too small (my screen resolution is 2560x1440) making the thumbnail 480 px wide.

So my question is, should I save out my thumbnail images as 320 px wide or as 640 seeing as Windows acutally recommends scaling the screen resolution by 200%? Not sure how all this affects Mac and mobil also…?

Thanks!
