If integrate Shippo, would still need to configure shipping methods?

I would like to confirm if my understandings are correct.
If I integrate Shippo, I would still need to configure shipping methods right?
The shopping procedure would be:

  1. (Back office) Configure shipping methods
  2. (Customer) Shop (with the configured shipping rate shown while the customer checks out)
  3. (Back office) Receives the money, prepare to ship, and use Shippo to print out label with the best rate (meaning that it could be lesser or more than what we’ve charged the customer?)
