I can not open webflow.io domains in chrome anymore

Hello, I have the following problem. Recently, I can no longer open webflow.io domains in my Chrome browser on my laptop. I get a message saying that the website is not secure. See Loom.

The issue only occurs in the Chrome browser on my laptop. It does not occur in my Safari browser. It also does not occur on my smartphone in either browser.

Other people connected to the same network as me can open the website without any issues in both browsers. People in a different network can also open the website without any issues in both browsers.

I have already tried the following solutions:
I cleared the browser cache.
I deleted the cookies.
But that didn’t help.

I also removed Webflow.io domains from “Delete Domain Security Policies.”
Additionally, I reset my Chrome browser to its default settings.

However, the problem still persists.
I hope someone can provide a solution to my issue.

Best regards

Sounds like an SSL issue- could be any number of things but first thing to check if VPNs and antivirus. Try disabling those and see if access works.

Since others can access from your network, my guess is the VPN or AV software it’s installed directly on your system.

Thanks for your quick response, i am using a macbook and have no AV-Software installed and i am not using a VPN, and i already tried to disable all chrome extensions, do you have any other ideas? I am currently in Thailand and i am using a thai-internet provider, could that maybe cause it, but it was working perfect until two days ago?

@Christian_Bohmisch1 Please try proxy server once.

Can’t say, but my first suspicion is still a misconfigured VPN somewhere causing SSL issues. If you’re traveling that probably means hotel and cafe networks- I’d try different ones and then you’ll know who to call. You can also try from your phone to see if you have the same problem when connected to / disconnected from wifi on different networks.

As AddWeb suggested you could also try using your own VPN that works for you, but I’ve seen a lot of VPN-related issues lately.

Just to add, if you’re seeing cafes and hotels with weirdly behaving networks that affect SSL- that’s immediately a cause for concern. I’d definitely avoid any banking over those networks
