To speed up the search engine indexing process, you’ll need to verify ownership of your site through Google Search Console and submit your sitemap. While Google may eventually find your site through external links, these steps can expedite the process.
First, ensure your site’s auto-generated sitemap is enabled:
- Go to your Page settings > SEO settings
- Check that the Sitemap indexing toggle is set to “on”
- Visit Google Search Console
- Select your property
- Enter “sitemap.xml” in the input field
- Click Submit
After submission, it typically takes a few days to several weeks for Google to process and index your pages.
