How to work on base class in mobile

Hi all,

I’ve got a section that has a base class for various styles, and then it has a separate style to load a particular background image.

The issue I have is that I need to edit the base style so that things display differently on mobile; however when I go to mobile view and use the selector to select the base style, it returns me back to the desktop view.

How am I supposed to do this? There must be a way?
