How to edit a Form's Success Page

This is probably a basic question, but how do I edit the content of the success message after a user successfully submits a form?

I’ve selected the “form-message-success wrapper” in the Navigator, and can see the heading and text blocks inside, but I want to edit the layout and add other elements.

Hey Mark-

  1. Edit the component master
  2. Select the form
  3. Change the form to the success state

Webflow follows this paradigm on many elements, including tabs, sliders, etc. Make sure to set it back to the initial state you want to appear before you publish, as for some components Webflow uses your currently selected state as the default element state.

Thanks Michael!

I couldn’t find the right element where I had the option to select the different states in the Settings panel. It’s a fairly involved form that will eventually use conditional logic, with a lot of different elements and layers.

Have I added more layers than are really needed here?

You have a lot of layers, but I couldn’t say more without spending some time in the code for your multistep form implementation. If it works, I wouldn’t worry about it too much.
