I found a way : disconnect everything in the add card element ( even condition rules ) and then delete the parent element where the add card element is.
Following along as I haven’t been able to delete the add to cart button from a collection list and start my product template page from scratch. I’ve unlinked all known parts of products in “Product Template” page, but the dropdown doesn’t show any existing connections yet it shows ‘2 connections’
any luck with the more permanent solution? i am not feeling great about having so many hidden ‘Add to Carts’ on my page
Same here. I’ve got an element that I now need to change to a component. I’m not able to do that while the hidden add to cart element is there and also can’t delete the parent object even if I was to recreate the element. Hiding it doesn’t seem to be a very good solution
Spent an entire day trying to unlink, and revert to the old backup. This is really frustrating knowing that this issue is going on for months for others and the only work around is to hide it.

Same problem here. Have unbound everything, deleted categories, and 100% no bindings, but impossible to delete. Bit of pain, as it’s using up one of Webflow’s max 20 CMS items on a page rule. So whilst hiding is fix, this may cause problems further down the road.
Seems so many bugs and issues these days. I have three outstanding support issues, where Webflow tell me they are aware of a bug/issue, but no timeframes, everything seems to move so slowly these days.
Fingers crossed that the promised UI improvements (rollback) will address these. Way too much time is being spent on Webflow hassles. I honestly would be delighted to return to how Webflow worked at the start of the year, right now I’m really not enjoying using this platform.
@jonohale Are you able to share some timelines for when this will be fixed? I really don’t like the solution of hiding the element, with web design regularly being a highly reactive process, it’ll just lead to incredibly messy sites.
you gotta give us an update. i assume your job is to manage the community and user feedback. i know you aren’t on holiday until Friday. please don’t leave people in the dark.
i did reach out, and you copy and pasted this forum’s answers. This is absolutley unacceptable. I’m migrating if its not fixed by july. Between Webflow’s competiors for front end dev getting so much better, and general ease of access to servers, as well as e-commerce getting way more accessible through shopify, stripe, pretty much any tool has a better store builder and manager than this, and then webflow’s just straight ignoring their biggest issues… NOT MUCH REASON TO STAY. Yall even stuck the mandatory Webflow on my store backend i cant get off! I spend more time developing my site on your stupid platform than your devs do developing it. Its a glorified codepen for me now.
Also, suggesting to your clients to partake in a process that will actively detriment their SEO is… to say the least, not in line with what webflow promises. THIS ^^^^^^ is not a solution.
@jonohale
Any updates here? Your solution above is not a solution.
This is really frustrating, Webflow needs to do better about fixing this kind of issue. 6 months is too long.
Hi,
I did run into the same problem.
This is really annoying!
The ecommerce plan cost us now almost 50 USD and soon we will have to upgrade to 84 USD due to incredibly sophisticated system of limit you are developing there. This is not any cheap service.
You should spend more time fixing bugs than on a CMS limits.
You guys NEEED TO FIX THIS AND SIMILAR FATAL ISSUES ASAP.
I cannot disconnect the Options list, how did you disconnect it?
I too am running into this issue. I’m developing a site using a template with e-commerce functionality enabled but my client doesn’t need or want it, however that template was by far the best fit for her services. Can’t remove the buttons on her homepage, having to hide them everywhere and disable what pages I can since I can’t delete those either. Seems like a big oversight?
If you are planning to enable e-commerce functionality on a Webflow site, please note that it comes with a significant amount of additional code that visitors will need to load when they visit the site. Unfortunately, Webflow does not provide an option to turn it off or remove it once enabled, except by restoring the entire site. This can cause potential performance issues and impact the site’s speed.
Many users have requested that Webflow provide an option to remove the e-commerce code, but it has not been implemented yet and may never be.
Therefore, if you are purchasing a template that has e-commerce enabled and you don’t intend to use it, it’s better to avoid that template altogether.
If you want to test the e-commerce functionality, it’s recommended to do so only on a project that you don’t care about. Only enable it on a project where you will actually use it to avoid any performance impact on your site.
First of all, this is not an issue “on some sites”, everyone is affected by it!
You HAVE to resolve this issue urgently! I literally cannot copy collections (to paste them) and supposedly would have to redesign the add to cart EVERY SINGLE TIME. This is unacceptable and I urge the webflow team to fix this issue. This is a total embarrassment, I cannot even deliver the website for my clients…
Thanks for the info on this, Jeff. Hopefully the Webflow team will come up with a solution for this soon. Also, I appreciate the tip about the speed impact, I wasn’t aware of the extra load it placed on a site. Thankfully I’m building a free site for a friend so it’s not a big deal in this case. Would have been unfortunate for a larger project.
unfortunate is an understatment.
