Which button are you trying to change the color?
The buttons that turn green when you click on them, the ones sitting within the boxes underneath, illustrations, view projects and view links

Could please tell me what is the easiest way to create pages that look the same but with a different image and copy. For example I m trying to created portfolio pages but each time duplicate the page and change the contents and copy, it changes all of them.

Thing with duplicating pages is that the styles are also carried over meaning that a style you change on 1 page will change on the other what i would recommend you to do is add a sub class here is a quick screencast on what i mean: http://nimb.ws/NqhkC0.
