How do I disconnect/change collection from unlockm list?

Hi!

I want to change part of my collection (add/remove some items). No matter what I do, I don’t find an option to unlock the list.
Thank you for your help!

You need to individually unlink each element inside your collection item which is in purple. In this case, both Image 9 and Text Block 8. You need to check the settings tab for each of these elements and remove the link. Then it’ll unlock

As an “advanced” shortcut, if you click directly on the source, you can use the up/down arrow keys to change the source.

However this will generally make the bindings inside the collection list invalid and you’ll have to fix them anyway.

@memetican @DavidFerguson Thanks for your answers but unfortunately I still don’t see the option to unlink the image and the text block, I checked their setting tab and still don’t see an option to do so.

I don’t want to change the CMS source, I want in the specific CMS source “Tech & AI tools” to add/remove symbols from one of the sections as you can see, for example, remove the “SQL” tool from the section and add “Google Sheets” tool. I share some screenshots to demonstrate what I mean.

Can you please point out where it is with a screenshot or step by step explanation to help me find it?

Thanks!

In general;

  • The design of the list, including what datasource it’s bound to, how it appears, and what content you’re showing, are managed in the designer.
  • The content of the list, such as “python”, “excel”, and your icons and links are managed inside the CMS.

It’s not possible to tell without your readonly designer link and some details on which page / section you’re working on, however I’d guess;

  • You’re probably on a collection page, maybe “Courses”
  • The collection for that page probably has a multi-ref field bound to “Tech and AI Tools”
  • That multi-ref field is called “tools” and is what your collection list is connected to at the top of your page.

If I’m correct, you’re wanting to edit the content.

Webflow recently made that much easier, you should be able to click on this little “go to CMS” item, and it should take you directly to that multiref field. There you’d see Python, SQL, BigQuery, etc. and be able to modify that list.

If you’re still stuck, share your readonly link and the page you’re on and I’ll have a look.

Hi @memetican
Thank you for your answer, I tried to solve it based on what you told me but still it’s not working, I still beed help with figuring out how to solve it. I share here a readonly link of that page.

Thanks!
Ben

I’m not sure what else you need- this is where your tools multiref field is controlled for each product.

Works! Thanks a lot!
