How do I clip images in a CMS

I’m uploading images to a cms lightbox gallery but different images are different sizes, so I’m wondering how I can create a clapping mask that centers the images and limits the maximum size they can get, so theyre all uniform in their sizes and size ratios (eg. 330x230px)
