Hosting swiper files on Webflow

Hi. I want to use swiper in my webflow site. I cannot host the JS and CSS file on webflow.

The only solution is using it from cdn. But if I do it, it is a problem in Germany because of data privacy.

I have tried to host the files as txt but then I have the link of the files again as cdn. Webflow gives me a cdn link again.
So How can I use swiper without breaking the data privacy rules in Germany?
Can I somehow host the files in Webflow?
Or there is another solution for this?

Hi there,

While Swiper JS isn’t natively integrated with Webflow, you have several options for implementing it while maintaining compliance with German data privacy rules:

You can host the Swiper files directly in your Webflow project by uploading them as assets in the Assets panel. This keeps the files on Webflow’s servers rather than requiring external CDN calls. Alternatively, you can use Webflow’s custom code feature to embed the necessary JavaScript and CSS inline within your project.

For slider functionality, you might also consider using Webflow’s native slider component, which is already hosted within Webflow’s infrastructure and doesn’t require external resources.

Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.

I would think there’s a German-friendly CDN for major repos like Swiperjs.
Perhaps npm or cloudflare, I’m not sure what the current restrictions are for you.

Worst case, you can just host them yourself on another server.

You could use Webflow cloud to deliver files under your own domain, but it’s a bit of setup and that’s not really what it’s designed for.

@Birol_yilmaz - I would strongly recommend looking at leveraging Hetzner for asset hosting. Hetzner is based in Germany (EU) and operates under strict GDPR data protection laws. It provides Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and uses EU data centers (no data leaves the EU unless you choose otherwise). This makes it one of the most privacy-safe hosts for static assets in Europe. Best part, pricing is dirt cheap.
