Horizontal scroll on portrait view?

Hi all,

I’ve got an odd problem that I can’t figure out - I seem to be getting a horizontal scroll bar in the tablet and phone portrait views. It shouldn’t be there, so I’m kind of perplexed as to why it is happening!

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks :slight_smile:

Every link I get onto from webflow.com domain at forum I get this error:

{"err":"authorization failure","code":403}

Yep, same thing here.

@Plaedien Please enable your troubleshooting link.

You can find it in your Website’s General Settings under the favicon. It looks like this:

|200xauto

@bartekkustra, @Rui_Almeida Hi guys, the 403 error is correct. You shouldn’t have direct access to his page in the designer. The troubleshooting link must be used for anyone without permission to edit a site.

Ahhh…well that makes sense!

thanks guys :slight_smile:

@Plaedien after a quick look, it seems that your ‘fact-text’ styles are causing the horizontal scroll.

Try changing their width to fit each breakpoint, or set them to ‘auto’ to have them fill the parent element’s width.

Perfect!! Thanks Dan that worked beautifully, I’ll keep an eye on such things in the future :wink:

I have the same problem; there is a small horizontal scroll bar, though only in phone (landscape and portrait). When I test the site on the phone it also seems to want to scroll horizontally, leaving a white column to the right.

I understand that it must have something to do with an object overflowing outside the borders somehow, because when I changed the fixed width of a box, the horizontal bar became much smaller, but it’s still there, and I can’t find what is causing the error. Is there any easy way to locate it?
