Help with simple mobile menu animation

Can anyone out there help me understand why this simple animation will not work correctly?

Trying to set up a simple mobile menu and for some reason the pink bg div jumps to the bottom and will not slide down. It slides back up as intended, which makes it even more mystifying.

I am just completely stumped.

Hi M, I just checked your project and couldn’t find any pink BG DIV, can you please point it out?
