Hello! Trying to edit my cart so that it appears like the video in this example? Basically want to have my cart ask for a customer’s email address so that my Abandon Cart tool collects that data!

Just go ahead and follow the instructions at the link you posted and enable the Augmented Email Capture feature in your configure page. That’s all you have to do 
Turn on Augmented Email Capture
This feature is off by default, but you can turn on Augmented Email Capture in your configure page.
